Speakers: Professor David Berman, Centre for Research in String Theory, School of Physics and Astronomy, Queen Mary University of London

In 1915 Einstein produced his master work, general relativity. His theory of gravity, based on the bending of spacetime itself is perhaps the single most impressive discovery in the history of theoretical physics. This talk will describe the basic ideas and concepts behind relativity and how one hundred years later Einstein's legacy lives on.
