Following on from last year's successfull competition the East Midlands Branch will be hosting their 3 minute wonder competition.
3 Minute Wonder is a competition that challenges researchers in physics or a physics-related field to explain their work to the public in just three minutes. And this year we will be hosting two competitions at the same event with one section for A-level students and one section for early years researchers.
A panel of 4 judges will be armed with score cards to mark the presentations out of ten; but watch out the official time keeper will also be deducting points for not keeping to the three minutes....
Like the sound of it, but don't fancy taking part in the competition yourself? well we also need an audience - so just come along and watch.
