Photonics techniques developed in the physical sciences are rapidly finding applications in biology. The one day international meeting will address some of the advances made in photonics with respect to imaging and spectroscopy of single biological molecules, cells, tissues and organisms.
Topics include: ultra-fast femtosecond laser dynamics, coherent X-ray imaging and spectroscopy, quantitative phase contrast microscopy, single molecule fluorescence, near field microscopy, Raman microspectroscopy, non-linear microscopy, dual polarization interferometry and optical coherence tomography.
