Speakers: Martin Griffiths , University of Glamorgan

The Multiverse has been a topic formerly reserved for abstract mathematics and cosmologists. However, with recent advances in this field and growing public perception of science, what is the state of this study and will astronomers and mathematicians soon be in a position to show that our universe is in fact one of many others; that what we perceive as the big bang is not in fact the origin of the universe, just the origin of our small cosmos in a multi-dimension universe full of all possible physical Universes. If this is the case, how will it affect our culture, religions, society and view of ourselves?
