Nominations for Chair, Honorary Secretary and 4 ordinary committee members are invited and should be made to the current Honorary Secretary, Dr Christian Korff (email: firstname.lastname@example.org), by 22 November 2010. Nomination forms can be downloaded from the group webpage page on the My IOP Network (heading “files”).
The AGM will be followed by an informal applied mathematics seminar, speaker and title will be announced on the group webpage closer to the date.
Directions to venue:
The Herschel Building (old physics building) is best reached by taking the metro to Haymarket station (2 stops from Central station - also within walking distance). Upon arrival, the Herschel building is the tall building opposite the metro (to the right as you exit) with the Newcastle Uni logo on it. Due to construction work, one cannot simply cross the road and access the building directly , but there are clear instructions on how to steer one's way around the construction site in order to reach the Herschel building.he address below.
