W5 is delighted to host Sir Mark Walport, the Government Chief Scientific Advisor (GCSA) and Head of the Government Office for Science, for an evening talk on the societal impacts of energy generation. We would like to invite you to attend this interesting talk and discussion on Tuesday 3rd November, the launch event of the Friendship Four Festival of Science taking place at W5 over the month of November. How will we power the UK in the future? We rely on energy every day to run our homes and power our cars. How we get this energy is changing. Sir Mark will take us through everything we need to know about how we could power the UK in the future. His talk will be followed by a Q&A session. Guests are invited to arrive from 6pm with light refreshments available and an opportunity for guests to mingle and network. The event will start promptly at 7pm and finish by 8.30pm.
