Speakers: Prof. William Bonfield, University of Cambridge

Advances in regenerative medicine are critically dependent upon the innovation of second-generation biomaterials. These are not just biologically inert, but are bioactive, hence interacting with adjacent biological tissues. Developments in tissue engineering are considered in which novel biomaterials have been translated from laboratory concepts to clinical applications.
