The IOP South Central Branch Committee invites you to visit the Diamond Light Source.

The Diamond Light Source is the UK’s national synchrotron. It works like a giant microscope, harnessing the power of electrons to produce bright light that scientists can use to study anything from fossils to jet engines to viruses and vaccines.

YOU ARE CURRENTLY BOOKING THE 12TH FEBRUARY 2019 DATE.

Due to limited numbers this visit is only available to IOP members.

Visit details: Start time 6.00pm. Finish time around 8.15pm.

The visit will consist of a talk and a tour, each lasting approximately one hour. There are no resting places on the tour and sensible footwear is suggested.

Specific joining instructions will be sent to registered attendees closer to the visit, but before the visit we will contact you to ask for the following details:

- The ages of any visitors under 16.

- The registrations of any vehicle coming onto site.

- Any special requirements, mobility issues etc. that you think we should be aware of.
