Collabor8.1 is an exciting meeting for early career researchers (PhD students and young postdocs) in theoretical and mathematical physics, with a focus on fostering collaboration. Instead of presenting final results, they are encouraged to give a short talk about open problems they encountered during their research. After each talk session all participants come together in smaller groups to discuss those problems. The participants will benefit from new ideas about their research, and expand their network for future collaboration.
In addition, there will also be a guest seminar by Prof. David Tong (DAMTP, University of Cambridge). Prof. Tong has collaborated with more than 50 mathematicians and physicists in a distinguished career.
