The Physics Days 2018 conference, organized by the Finnish Physical Society and the University of Turku, will take place from 21st to 23rd March 2018 in Turku, Finland. The complete program and the registration details can be found on the Physics Days web site:
The program includes a session, organized by the IOP Finland Chapter, from 4:45pm to 5:45pm on Thursday 22nd March. The speaker in that session will be Dr Christos Leonidopoulos from the University of Edinburgh, who will present on Collider Searches for Dark Matter. The session will look into the quest for dark matter at colliders, which is an increasingly popular theme in high energy physics. Collider searches work in complementary ways to direct searches, and aim to maximize the parameter space covered. New theoretical developments and experimental techniques are currently put to test at the Large Hadron Collider. The session will review the latest experimental results, and discuss prospects for future searches at yet-to-be-built colliders. The session will be chaired by Professor Jukka Maalampi from the University of Jyväskylä.
