You are warmly invited ( along with Belvedere parents and students, teachers and members of various Astronomy groups.)  on Wednesday November 7 at 7 p.m. to a talk by  Paolo Beltrame SJ

DARK MATTER,  does it really matter? A brief journey into one of the most mysterious components of our Universe.

The talk will be mostly focused on dark matter and astrophysics - for a general audience - however Paolo will try to give a taste of "Ignatian spirituality" as well.

The venue is the LECTURE THEATRE in Belvedere and it is necessary to book your place(s) by sending a short email to mgrehan@belvederecollege.ie with your name(s).

All enquiries are welcome at the same email address.

Getting there :

Belvedere College SJ is on Great Denmark Street, Dublin 1,  just at the top of North Great George's St.

It's the same entrance as the O'Reilly Theatre - near the junction with Temple St.

Paolo Beltrame SJ  is an Astrophysicist, having lectured in Edinburgh University  and a particle physicist having worked at CERN, but better known to the students in Belvedere as our "Brother Paolo".

We in the Science Department and the Religion Department in Belvedere have been honoured to have Paolo join our teaching staff for a few short weeks.  He will soon be continuing his Jesuit studies in Birmingham. We very much hope he will return to us at some time in the future.

Looking forward to seeing you on the seventh at seven.

 Michael Grehan.
