Come along for a session of hands-on activities and discussion around teaching energy. Bring along your own ideas – even those that are a little off the wall!
This session is for anyone teaching physics topics at KS3-4: specialists or non-specialists, trainees or experienced. We’ll look at: how the ‘stores and pathways’ approach may help; keeping consistent when dealing with energy across the sciences; how students can be prepared better for questions involving energy, work and power in the new GCSEs. We won’t be able to set everyone’s minds at rest for handling these concepts, but can hope to get things clearer and come away with some ways to re-invigorate lessons.
