Science teachers from Schools within reach of Canterbury are invited to a free to attend inset event at Simon Langton Girls’ Grammar School.

Elizabeth Hutchins, Teaching and Learning Coach for the Stimulating Physics Network, will be leading the second of three sessions. This session provides an opportunity to look at some new approaches to encourage girls to continue their study of physics to GCSE and beyond.

The focus of this session is to:
 Gain a greater understanding of factors affecting the engagement of girls in physics
 Acquire strategies that can lead to increased engagement and achievement of girls in physics
 Explore ways to make students aware of the contribution physics makes to their future lives

Please spread the word – we are hoping for a good turn-out of teachers to attend this brand new CPD opportunity together with our team of physics teachers. This will be the second in a series of training opportunities which participants can help to develop.

Light refreshments will be provided and the event is completely free of charge.
