The theme of the seminar is 'Energy Efficient Design' and the speakers will include:
- Don Draper who will present on hardware accelerators for machine learning processors in modular 3DIC with GaN integrated voltage regulators. Don Draper is a member of the SEMI standards committee for 3DICs, a former chair of the IEEE computer society TCMM, principal analyst on 3DICs at ProPrincipia, USA and a former principal engineer on server processors at Oracle, USA
- Yang Bai will discuss multi-source energy harvesting for energy efficient wireless sensor networks. Yang Bai is a committee member of the IOP energy group, a member of the IOP Finland Chapter and currently works at the University of Oulu, specialising in energy harvesting.
- Michel Gillet is a senior firmware engineer at Loupedeck and a former senior architect on embedded networks for mobile devices at Nokia. His talk is titled; from Discobus to Ara - the tale of low power embedded networks in mobile devices.
- Juha Tiihonen, a PhD student from Tampere University of Technology will discuss Quantum-dot Cellular Automata - is this the future of binary computing?
