This is the first of a series of sessions available through the Stimulating Physics Network Programme, hosted by the School in their new role as a Stimulating Physics Network Link School. The session is FREE TO ATTEND and is led by Lawrence Cattermole, Teaching and Learning Coach for the Stimulating Physics Network, and Lewis Matheson, Head of Physics at Beechen Cliff. The idea is that participants can help to develop future sessions.
This first session will focus on finding ways to engage all students in quantitative/ mathematical aspects of physics.
In order to encourage participation in this event, the structure is as follows:
4.30 – 5pm General sharing of ideas/demos with refreshments provided
5 – 6pm Engaging all students in maths in physics – led by LC
6 – 6.30pm Continued discussion and sharing of demos
...so you can arrive late/leave early if you need to. There is limited car parking on site, but there is more parking in Alexandra Park just next to the school. Visitors should report to the main reception when they arrive.
Help spread the word – we are hoping for a good turn-out of teachers to attend this brand new CPD opportunity. Please register a place by contacting Lawrence on firstname.lastname@example.org.
