Speakers: Michael Underwood

Fifty years ago, few people had heard about computers, let alone heard them speak. Today, we can interact with computers in much the same way as we communicate with one another. Human and machine, will describe how this remarkable achievement has come about, with some of the human stories that have accompanied its development.
Michael Underwood is a former IT research manager with national and international research programme experience and a continuing interest in all forms of communication, both human and computer.
