Knots, like those you’d tie in your shoelace, have wide-ranging
applications in modern physics. I will give an
overview of the history of the subject, before considering
examples from the purely theoretical (quantum computing)
to the eminently practical (getting out of armlocks).

Refreshments are served from 6pm on the day of the lecture for a 6.30pm start. While these lectures are free to attend, please register online.
