This year’s Institute of Physics teachers conference takes place in the School of Physics Dublin Institute of Technology, Grangegorman, Dublin 7 It will be a day of lectures, demonstrations, and workshops, resources and networking for all teachers of physics including Junior Science Teachers.
The keynote presentation will be delivered by the eminent physicist, Prof Mike Cruise who was part of the LIGO team who confirmed the existence of gravitational waves. There will be other guest presenters, including Prof Tom Ray DIASspeaking on Eddington's Celiostat and a series of ‘Showcase Talks’ from DIT.

A discussion will take place on the LC 2016 Physics papers and marking schemes, which will form the basis of the Institute of Physics report to the SEC.
Registration fee €30 and includes lunch Reduced fee for student teachers €20
There will be an optional dinner for delegates on Friday 23 September at 8pm. The venue is Mulligans, 18 Stoneybatter, Dublin 7. If attending, delegates can pay for the dinner directly to the restaurant on the evening.
