Fusion: Energy for the Future?

Speakers: Dr Anthony J. Webster, Culham Centre for Fusion Energy

This talk will describe how magnetically-confined nuclear-fusion in the European JET device based at Culham in the UK, reliably demonstrates the confinement of 100 m3 of plasma with a temperature 10 times that in the centre of the sun, for 10’s of seconds.
Prospects for the future will be discussed.
