Paul Younger, Rankine Professor of Energy Engineering at Glasgow University, is a leader in the field of geothermal energy development and the efficient use of fossil fuels. He was a member of the Royal Society/Royal Academy of Engineering panel that in 2012 published an influential report on shale gas and is Chair of the Advisory Committee of the British Geological Survey. His lecture will present an authoritative overview of the options for sourcing our energy and the scope for further development of low-carbon and renewable resources.
