Speakers: Prof Harald Haas (Edinburgh)

Professor Haas (Chair for Mobile Communications at the Institute for Digital Communications at the University of Edinburgh) will discuss the grand vision behind Li-Fi technology that in the future will affect many aspects of everyday life, beyond simply the technology.

Li-Fi is an enabling technology with great potential for novel applications including security and data access, health monitoring systems, car automation, smart cities and traffic management, smart homes, indoor navigation systems, data communication in hazardous environments such as oil rigs, petrochemical plants, underwater communications, and new hybrid 5G mobile communication networks.

This talk is part of the International Year of Light 2015.
