Discover a variety of activities for use in the classroom when teaching light, colour and spectra.
Pictures and images are a great ‘hook’ for generating interest. The activities in this workshop are chosen to promote curiosity in the physics behind them. Students will remember these activities, and (hopefully) the physics which goes with them.
Activities and experiments in this workshop could be used as starters, in the lesson body, or in a plenary. They are also useful for science clubs and open evenings.
Collect plenty of ideas for the use of images, including how to make 3D images, and how a digital microscope can turn a small demo into a whole class activity.
