Speakers: Prof Maurizio Solaris

The basic ideas behind the widely accepted standard cosmological model are presented, together with a broad overview of the evolution of the cosmos since the big bang.
The role played by the entropy of the universe will be discussed, together with the apparent fine tuning required to explain the presence of an arrow of time.
Coffee will be served at 18.00 and the one hour talk will start at 18.30.
