Interfaces in materials play a crucial role in controlling their properties. Examples of important interfaces range from grain boundaries to heterointerfaces such as oxides on semiconductors. This one-day meeting seeks to bring together researchers engaged in the modelling and characterisation of interfaces. Through a combination of theoretical and experimental approaches, we can hope to gain further understanding of interfaces and their effects.
