Speakers: Dr Melvyn Carroll, Royal Liverpool University Hospital

The lecture will review current and new developments in molecular radiotherapy. Molecular radiotherapy is the use of potent radionuclides administered to patients as unsealed radioactive sources. The underlying principle is the selective molecular uptake of the agent in the lesion to be treated where it releases its cytotoxic dose of radiation targeted at the cellular and molecular level with minimal uptake in normal tissues.

Location:
Continuing Education at 126 Mount Pleasant.
The building is number 114 on the university campus map, with the entrance round the corner on Mount Pleasant.
