The British Carbon Group (RSC Faraday Division, IOP and SCI) is delighted to be co-hosting three important RSC Award lectures at a special event to be held at Burlington House on Friday 31st October 2014. The three RSC Awardees involved are working in the field of nanocarbons, and the afternoon event will be completed by the 2014 Ubbelohde Award Lecture (directly sponsored by The British Carbon Group) which this year is also on a similar theme.
 
The four speakers are:
 
Dr Cinzia Casiraghi, University of Manchester, 2014 Marlow Award Winner - TITLE tbc
 
Dr Chris Ewels, University of Nantes, 7th Ubbelohde Memorial Lecture: "Atomic-scale nanocarbon design : An alliance of microscopy and modelling"
 
Prof Milo Shaffer, Imperial College London, 2014 Corday-Morgan Prize Winner - TITLE tbc
 
Prof Eiichi Nakamura, University of Tokyo, 2014 Centenary Prize Winner - "Chemistry at Mesoscopic Regime Connecting the Molecular and the Real World"
 
The event will commence at 1pm with lunchtime refreshments and is expected to conclude by 5pm.
