Entries remain open to all early-career researches from the North - including Lancaster and Cumbria, Merseyside, Manchester and Cheshire, Yorkshire and, of course, the North East.

If you would like to enter, and have a chance to win £200 and a valuable and prestigious national prize, head over to www.iop.org/3mw and enter - there have to be at least 10 entries for the entries to count towards the National Finals, so don't hesitate to get involved!

Otherwise, please come along to hear ten early career professionals from industry and academia present their research in just 3 minutes! The winner will go on to represent the North East in the national finals next year!

This event is free and open to the public, we encourage you to bring family and friends along to what will be an informative and entertaining bout of physics-oriented fun! The presentations will be aimed at an interested non-specialist audience, giving all those present the opportunity to learn about cutting edge physics.
