Who is the course aimed at:
Graduate, postgraduate students, potential future authors, referees and reviewers and anyone that has an interest in the ability to write or review a scientific research paper.
Course format and content:
The course will be an introduction to how peer review works in publishing houses and funding agencies, covering hints and tips for both authors and referees, along with a guide to the ethics of publishing.
You will then get the chance to follow this, with a practical session looking at some typical papers and what happened to them.
Throughout the day you will be able to share your problems, concerns and experiences with colleagues and experienced publishing staff.
