Opened in 1984, the museum examines the history of consumer culture from the Victorian era to the present day. The PGS Committee will start their meeting at the Museum at 1pm and PGS members and guests can join them for tea & coffee at 3pm.
Entry is free for PGS Members that afternoon. Robert Opie who started the museum and collected most of its contents will give us a talk from 3:15 pm and members can tour the museum/continue their tour afterwards.
15:00 - Tea and coffee served for visitors in the Conference Room.
15:15 - Short talk by Robert Opie in the Conference Room followed by visit to exhibit galleries.
18:00 - Normal Museum Closing Time.
In order to plan for catering, those wishing to attend are asked to confirm their attendance by contacting Roy Gray before 5th October.
