Speaker: Prof David Andrews (UEA)

It is well known that light can generate forces – a principle already used in laser tweezers. This talk shows how photons can drive motion and how, at a deeply fundamental level, quantum fluctuations can also generate exotic nanoscale forces between particles of matter.

The talk starts at 18.30pm, with refreshments available from 18.00pm.
