The finalists have been selected from applications that were received by the competition submission deadline of 15 September 2012. Judges will choose an overall winner based on the submissions and the presentations delivered by the finalist on the day.
The outline agenda is as follows:
13:00: Arrival and registration
13:15: Welcome and introduction
13:25: Prof Jim Al-Khalili: ‘Quantum Physics on TV: the making of a science documentary’
13:55: Q&A with keynote speaker
14:10: Presentations and Q&A with each of the finalists

15:00: Coffee/tea break and judges meeting
15:15: Presentation of the PCG Award and closing address
15:30: Close of meeting
15:30–16:30: (further socialising)
The Group Prize is called "The Very Early Career Physics Communicator Award".
