In 2016 the Institute of Physics will move to a new home in Kings Cross. For the first time, the IOP premises will include public-facing spaces in which visitors will be invited to engage with physics. In the context of this new opportunity, the IOP Physics Communicators Group are holding an event to discuss how physics can be effectively communicated in public spaces, drawing on experiences of successful physics communication in museums, galleries and observatories.

Speakers include:

  • Prof Arthur I. Miller, Emeritus Professor of History and Philosophy of Science, UCL
  • Prof Paul Hardaker, Chief Executive, Institute of Physics
  • Dr Harry Cliff, Fellow of Modern Science, Science Museum
  • Dr Marek Kukula, Public Astronomer, Royal Observatory, Greenwich
