Speakers: Dr. Mark Baxendale; Professor David Dunstan

Dr. Mark Baxendale will speak about nanotechnology, and how the strange goings-on at tiny scales could be of incredible importance in our future. Professor David Dunstan will follow this with a talk on the background dependence on fundamental physics in materials science. The talk concludes with an overview of unsolved problems and current research. Food and wine will be provided free of charge and you will have time to meet and talk to other physics teachers and members of academic staff from Queen Mary.
