A practical workshop aimed at non-specialist physics teachers who want to safely handle and confidently demonstrate the properties of radioactive materials.
The session will include:
- Ideas on practical activities that can be used to teach difficult concepts such as half-life.
- A brief overview of the 'need to know' H&S regarding use of radioactive materials in schools.
- Free food and refreshments provided.
- Free IOP 'Goody Bag' with highly desirable items such as Marvin and Milo 'Do Try This At Home' cards!
