A better understanding and application of tribology, the science of friction, lubrication, and wear, can play a major role in the design of lower friction, more energy efficient, machines, with lower carbon dioxide emissions. This timely meeting will explore some of the recent advances in modelling in this area, covering automotive and industrial machine applications, biotribology, "soft" tribology, and the modelling of wear.
