Trinity House maintains lighthouses and vessels and many other aids to navigation. We will be told of the history of the establishment, see the control room and cross the road to the Buoy Yard where the buoys, lamps, etc are stored and repaired and where their ships sail from. The timing for the tour is to suit their daily schedule of work.
Booking is essential; to get a booking form, please email John Belling.
Refreshments from 11:00 in the cafe on Ha’penny Pier. A guided tour of Harwich is included in the afternoon.
Car parking on the Quay is approximately £10 all day. Nearby, on the sea front, some parks are free.
