A presentation on the research carried out in the Applied Optics Group at the University of Kent. The groups main scope of research focuses on Biomedical Imaging techniques such as Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), a contactless method of characterizing live tissue in 3D using near infa-red light. This technique has gained considerable momentum due to the possibilities of human retinal tissue in detail, aiding the diagnosis of a large number of eye pathologies.
