Each year SEPnet funds 30 physics undergraduates from the SEPnet consortium of seven physics departments in the South East to undertake work placements in science and technology.
The Students’ Expo provides an opportunity for students to showcase their work through presentations and posters to over 100 employers, academic tutors and peers.
Major employers providing placements this year included the Met Office, QinetiQ, the National Physical Laboratory, SELEX Galileo, Culham Centre for Fusion Energy, Diamond Light Source and a number of higher education research departments.
Professor Sir Peter Knight, President of the Institute of Physics, will provide a keynote address at this year's event.
The Expo provides an excellent opportunity to share knowledge and ideas on innovative research and outreach as well as meet employers, academics and students. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
