Shocked and Stunned: A Van der Graaf Generator Workshop

Clock icon
16:00 – 17:00 28 Nov 2013
Location icon
Lab 36 EGGLESCLIFFE SCHOOL, YARM, STOCKTON-ON-TEES

A practical workshop aimed at non-specialist physics teachers who want to make sure they are getting the basics right and working safely, or specialist physics teachers who simply want to ‘brush up' and share good practice for teaching about static electricity.

Delivering ideas about charge and static electricity can be notoriously difficult, and even experienced teachers will benefit from this entertaining training!

Includes:

  • Free fun-fly-stick toys to take home and play with, plus a bank of whole-class activities to use in lessons.
  • Free food and refreshments provided.
  • Free IOP 'Goody Bag' with highly desirable items such as Marvin and Milo 'Don't Try This At Home' cards!
Please bring your VdG Generator along with you, or just say if this won't be possible.
