This popular annual event is a mix of practical workshops, inspiring talks and congenial networking. All teachers of physics, physics technicians and trainees are very welcome.

Talks will be given by Dr Andrew Steele (Famelab 2012 winner) about ‘Superconductivity: How to engineer flying trains & bottled stars' and “local hero” Dr Adam Hart-Davis, who will be giving us an insight into 'Some of My Scientific Heroes'.

Workshops will be delivered by members of the IOP Physics Teachers Network and other experienced presenters. Sessions will be suitable for both those new to physics as well as experienced teachers and will focus on practical ideas to use in your labs and classrooms.  They will include ‘Science on Stage 2015’, ‘Waving not Drowning‘, ‘Twenty Dashing Demos’, ‘A Painkiller for Medical Physics’ & ‘Rocket Launcher Make & Take’.

During lunchtime there will be a variety of stalls to browse for resource ideas.

THERE IS NO CHARGE FOR THIS EVENT, BUT BOOKING IS ESSENTIAL.

Download the programme for the day, along with full workshop & talk descriptions, or find them on the booking webpage.
