In the 18th century, Coulomb became famous for discovering the law of attraction
between electrical charges. He later showed that north and south poles of magnets
attract in the same way. If magnetic poles behave like electrical charges can they
then form the magnetic equivalent of electricity – ‘magnetricity’?
