  • Hands-on practical workshops covering a range of topics
  • A chance to meet your mentor one-to-one if you want
  • A chance to network with other early career physics teachers
  • A free goody bag
The workshops will be on the following topics:

Forces and sport
A practical hands-on workshop based around the physics of sport, providing ideas to use in the classroom to extend your teaching strategies and address misconceptions from KS4 and KS5

‘Do Physics’: Electromagnetism
This workshop includes short activities from the electromagnetism topic to observe and explain at KS4, and beyond. These activities are useful preparation for extended writing questions found at GCSE and we will address common difficulties and ways to prepare pupils.

This workshop focuses on reducing misconceptions we may teach our pupils when covering the radiation topic. We will include practical ideas, activities for lessons and focus on aspects of radiation covered at KS4

Please note that this is a Stimulating Physics Support (SPS) event aimed at trainee and recently qualified physics teachers.  For more info on the SPS programme please follow the link above.
