Tapping All Our Talents: Jocelyn Bell Burnell

Women in Technology and Science have organised a lunch with Prof. Jocelyn Bell Burnell, well known N. Ireland born astrophysicist and former president of the IOP.

Prof. Bell Burnell will discuss her work in an informal interview. In 2012 Jocelyn chaired an expert group in Scotland, to increase the proportion of STEM qualified women in the workplace and in senior positions in universities, government and industry ’Tapping all our Talents Women in STEM: a Strategy for Scotland’. She will share insights and recommendations.

There will also be a presentation of a unique piece of artwork by Spanish artist Margarita Cimedevila inspired by Prof. Bell Burnell.

Lunch from 12:00, event begins, 12:30 - 14:30.
