The Technical Careers Fair is open to second level students aged 15-18 years who are interested in physics, but are unclear of the career options available to them, so are perhaps considering alternative pathways.
The purpose of the Technical Careers Fair is to provide a transparent view of the options available to GCSE, and A-level students to help navigate the labyrinth of career pathways through technical routes, which includes scientific apprenticeships.
We have selected a range of speakers to provide an insight into becoming an apprentice and the opportunities that it presents. Seagate and the Department of the Economy will run workshops to further engage students. Contributors to the event include: Atkins, CSR Scientific Training, CERN, Department for Economy, Royal Navy, Seagate and W5
Each school can register a maximum of 20 students.
The IOP will give each school a maximum of £200 towards the cost of transport for this event. Schools need to organise and pay for their own transport, and the IOP will reimburse you after the event.
