Professor Watson will explain why physicists are installing 1600 three thousand gallon water tanks on a regular 1.5 km grid on the vast plain known as the Pampa Amarilla (yellow prairie) in western Argentina, and what this will teach them about the highest energy particles in nature – also known as cosmic rays.
