The Braggs and their legacy

This event is free to attend, but participants are asked to register their attendance in advance by emailing pyspjf@bath.ac.uk
There will be three speakers. The first is Professor Paul Raithsby, Head of the University of Bath Chemistry Department who will talk on the Braggs' work in crystallography.
The second is Professor Ravi Achyra also of Bath who will give a presentation on the effect of X-ray studies in the area of molecular biology. The third lecture is by Professor John Finney of University College, London who will talk about Bernal - his life and work. John Finney was Bernal's last research student. Sir Lawrence Bragg's three children are still alive, and hope to attend along with various grandchildren and other family members.
