What is the Universe made of?
The bulk of the Universe consists of Dark Matter and Dark Energy, nonluminous components whose identity remains a mystery. Freese will discuss this cosmic cocktail, including the search to identify the dark matter particles that pervade our own Galaxy and the excitement that discovery may be imminent.
This is a public talk given by Katherine Freese, Professor of Physics, University of Michigan in association with the 20th anniversary Identification of Dark Matter International Conference being held in the Sheffield.
