Speakers: Dr Jon Robson, University of Reading

The Gulf Stream, a fast-flowing current in the North Atlantic Ocean, plays an important role in Earth's climate. It has been suggested that climatic changes could cause the Gulf Stream to slow down, radically cooling the UK's climate. But is a slow-down likely, or even possible? This talk will introduce the Gulf Stream and will discuss its future.
