Speakers: Professor P.I.P. Kalmus

In the 1960s and 1970s a theory was developed which unified two seemingly very different fundamental forces: electromagnetism and the weak interaction. A crucial test of the theory was to see whether two hypothetical particles existed. A description of their discovery at CERN will be given by one of the participants.
Car park near the lecture theatre. Meetings begin at 7.30pm
