The Royal Irish Academy, The Institute of Physics in Ireland and the Royal Society of Chemistry are co-hosting an event on ‘The Future of Graduate Education in Physics and Chemistry’, Nov 18th at the RIA. This 1-day workshop will feature examples of graduate schools including the Scottish University Physics Alliance and the Irish nanoelectronics school, INSPIRE and will have industry input.
It is aimed at physicists and chemists with experience of supervising PhD students. Because of the need for representation across a wide range of physics and chemistry departments, the number of places available are limited.
